It has been so long since I have sat down and done a traditional media work...if I think about it, it's actually been two years...kinda scary.
This was done in class while listening to the teacher lecture. I really liked the linework despite the anatomical flaws and decided to color it. XD I decided while I was at it I would work on a new coloring style and this is what I came up with. I like it but if I continue it will need some practice. The bg was just kinda thrown together so it isn't anything special.
woot for traditional media work! and i can say you are pretty good at that thing. you really know how to do a good coloring by handa. hehe and of course i really like the way you drew Sonic. his pose and the way you drew his left hand are very cool. his expressions and his spines are nice too. and i like the purple background and those details too. awesome pic sweet. keep it up!

Whoa. Holy crap, that turned out bloody awesome! ;w; It's been a while since I've seen traditional works from you, sweetie. I really like what you did with the linework, tis very smooth and crisp! I'm also impressed with what you did with the colors on Sonic. For some reason, I love his irises and the trippy background~! X3 The pose and the composition turned out really awesome as well.
As usual, you did a kickass job, Shan. I honestly look forward to seeing more traditional works from you!
Some people have been asking me about this stuff so I decided to gather all information in one single article on how to make your own portfolio, in a profesional and clean looking way. I hope it's useful, because these steps I myself take.
In this article I will provide you some ideas how you can build your own homestudio for considerably cheaper price than it would cost to use "official" studio gear. I will also show you few examples where I have used the gear I describe during this article.

Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
